Saw this restaurant when drove by couple of times during lunch hours, unlike most Wanchai restaurants, it doesn’t have a queue outside, then thought: either it is not cheap or food is not good, anyway, tried this restaurant today and it is actually OK.
I-Café is in fact the restaurant of I-Club Regal Hotel. Semi-buffet as well as a la carte are served during lunch time.
Buffet side of things is not too bad, especially the roast lamb and the curry beef, perfect with the yellow (Indian) rice. Salad bar is not too fresh, and the variety is so-so. There are also soup of the day (cream mushroom it was the day I went), steamed vegetables and a cuttlefish dish.
The semi-buffet comes with a choice of 3 mains: chicken steak, Vietnam beef noodles and sushi combo. I took the Vietnam beef noodles and it proved to be a bad choice, soup got no taste, beef were tough and noodles were soggy. The sushi looked weird so I didn’t order it.
